About This Game

A group of scientists dedicated to studying the paranormal has developed a machine that can induce a patient with psychic abilities into a dream state, linking them to a malignant or cursed object.
Project Nightmares is in charge of investigating such objects, discovering the history behind them, and putting a stop to the evil they embody.



In the first installment of the game, we will play through the case of Henrietta Kedward. A toy with a dark past provides us with a connection to this malicious old woman; tapping into this connection, we’ll find ourselves in a nightmare set during her lifetime, surrounded by terror and mystery.



Every time you play, Project Nightmares will be different. The game was designed so that the experience of playing through it changes constantly; beyond the engaging storyline, the player will never know what’s going to happen next.

  This shows promise, but, if I must be blunt, it's not worth the 12 bucks list price, at 15-20 total minutes of gameplay, once you've died a few times and know what to do.
  I will NOT be returning it, because this looks like it could be amazing, but as things stand, there's literally only a few minutes of gameplay, and the game itself calls itself a 'demo' after you get through the one locked door. The atmosphere is fantastic. The graphics are quite... well, I don't want to say 'nice' cos it's a horror game with horrors from beyond the grave hunting you down in a delapidated old mansion, so, 'nice' is not the right word, but it looks suitibly horrific. This is the groundwork for a memorable horror game, but the fact is, even if a dish is high quality, if there's only a tiny morsel, you aren't going to want to pay full meal price. This is amazing for the work of two guys, and I look forward to more, but as things stand, I look at this more like a Kickstarter; I'm putting my money in the pot in hopes of a bigger game. As things stand ,this is a demo, or a 5 dollar game at most; there's just not enough content to justify paying over 10 dollars. My vote will be positive, because, what is here is amazing, but if I could vote 'neutral', I would.
  
  TL;DR version. This is a phenominal demo, but, that's all it is. This is not a full game, and there are many more complete experiences for less on Steam. If you love horror, and want to see this fleshed out, I say buy it. If you're more middling on scary games, maybe invest elsewhere.. No gamepad support. None of the controls are implemented yet (everything is greyed out. Can't sprint, crouch, remap buttons, etc)
  
  Everything feels bare bones, very little to do, and you cannot even run away because, again, no sprint yet.
  
  This game has a ton of potential, and I get that this is early access, but it feels VERY early access. There is nothing to do
  
  
  
  . Unfortunately I can't reccomend the game in it's current state mostly due to the low amount of content and price for it, the game has potential and the devs are active which is great.
  
  I've completed the game in about 20 mins while exploring which isn't worth charging $10 in my opinion.
  
  Here's what I thought of the game overall:
  
  Graphics: Very Good
  Animation: Average (times was good, times was amatuer)
  SFX/VA: Below Average (specially antagonist)
  Soundtrack: Slightly Above Average
  Gameplay/Game design: Average
  
  I'd reccomend trying it in about 6/12 months for $10, perhaps new concepts would show up as well, but definitely not at the time of writting this review.
  
  Best of luck to the devs.. This is one of the most truly scary games I've played in a long time. No jump scares. Actual fear creeps into your mind. It's good.
